Established by the Provost, the Suburban Academic Council (SAC) is responsible for the oversight of curricula and program development, suburban course schedules and offerings, academic advising, and the integration of campus administrative and student support services with the academic programs at the Suburban Campuses.

Appointed by the Provost, the Executive Director of Suburban Campuses serves as the chair of the council. The council is comprised of academic representatives identified by the Deans and Vice Presidents from the colleges, schools, and divisions offering programs, classes and services at the Suburban Campuses. The members are appointed by the Provost.
